Did you know you could put smoothies in a bowl? Now why would you want to do that, you ask? Smoothies on their own are full of nutrition but put it in a bowl and you can pack up a lot more delicious stuff in it; nuts, berries, coconut flakes, chia, or hemp seeds. Oh, the possibilities are endless! This Blueberry-Banana Smoothie Bowl is no exception. This stuff will keep you filled with healthy protein and satisfy you with delicious vitamin-packed fruits to ward off the confinement blues. This is why it’s great if you’re also trying to transition off an unhealthy lifestyle and opting for a more fulfilling diet.
One thing that has I’ve been hearing a lot about lately is that since a good portion of us are either on lockdown we are all experiencing some form of confinement blues. Working from home these days, I am totally relating to this these days and I have been in serious need of a reset to cut the banality.
One of the things that I have found helpful is to keep on a healthy routine of self-care. This is a time of introspection and this should include a healthy diet. If you are struggling with seasonal depression or simply feeling the effects of confinement, there is nothing worst than grabbing high sugar, high fat, ready-made snacks like chips, cookies, candies, you know what I’m talking about. I’ve been there, done that and although you might feel good immediately afterward, you will feel guilty and sluggish later.
One of the most helpful strategies for me was to get some serious superfoods into my diet and this Blueberry-Banana Smoothie Bowl worked great for that. These fresh fruits are so beneficial for regaining your pep and picking up the spirits. Top it with whatever toppings you might think could work great on it! For one of my toppings, I used this new product called Bumble Bloom. It is a vegan honey made from apple concentrate and it is so delicious! It made for a great topping for this smoothie bowl.
